Antrim woman admits wasting police time

AN Antrim town woman has admitted wasting police time.

Joanne Elizabeth Mitchell (49), of Greenview Avenue, admitted offences relating to June last year.

The charges were that she 'caused wasteful employment of the police by knowingly making to a member of PSNI a false report or statement tending to show that an offence had been committed by a unknown person'.

At Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena, it was adjourned to April 12 for a pre-sentence report.
