Arrest warrant issued for 'air rage' woman

A JUDGE has issued an arrest warrant for a woman who was involved in an 'air rage' incident, Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena, heard on Tuesday.

Sarah McGuire (40), of Tyrconnell Street in Derry/Londonderry, had been due to be sentenced.

The defendant's charges included assault; being disorderly at Belfast International Airport; failing to obey a pilot's command; and behaving in a threatening, abusive, insulting or disorderly manner towards a crew member.

The charges relate to October 18, 2020.

A defence solicitor said he had been trying to get in contact with the defendant, without success.

District Judge Nigel Broderick issued an arrest warrant saying he had already given the defendant a "chance to engage" and she hadn't attended.
