Ballymena man denies disorderly behaviour charge

A BALLYMENA man denies a charge of disorderly behaviour.

Gary Adair (34), whose address was listed on the court charge sheet as 'address not known, Ballymena,' is charged in relation to the Castle Street/Bridge Street area of the town on June 5 this year.

A defence solicitor told Ballymena Magistrates Court (main picture) the charge is being contested on the grounds of "whether saying bad language to a police officer is disorderly or not".

The lawyer added: "He would make the case that he is being harassed by the PSNI".

The case has been adjourned to November 8 for a contest.

The defendant also denies driving without due care and attention on the A26 on April 4 this year and that case was adjourned to October 28 to fix a date for a contest.
