Ballymena man had cannabis in a jar along with tobacco and coins

A BALLYMENA  man caught with cannabis in a jar - where it was alongside tobacco and coins according to a defence solicitor - has admitted possessing a Class B drug and been fined £200.

Nicholas Macrory (26), of Montague Park, had the drugs on May 30 last year, the town's Magistrates Court heard.

A defence solicitor said the defendant had been "experimenting" with drugs.
