Ballymena man has 'poor record' for insurance

A BALLYMENA man who, District Judge Nigel Broderick said is "developing a very poor record for no insurance," has been told if he is caught again he could go to jail.

At Ballymena Magistrates Court, Dean Pollard (24), of Lettercreeve, was given a three months prison term, suspended for a year; and banned from driving for six months.

He was also fined £60.

In August, 2019, he was detected doing 47mph in a 30mph zone.

The court heard the defendant was in an uninsured Ford Fiesta involved in a collision at Tullygarley Road near Ballymena on December 10, 2019.

In March this year he was uninsured in a vehicle in the Ballee area of Ballymena.
