Ballymena man is accused of causing unnecessary suffering to dog

A BALLYMENA man is accused of causing unnecessary suffering to a dog, described on court papers as a 'Staffordshire Bull Terrier type'.

Darren McPeake, whose age was not listed, of Lanntara, is charged in relation to December 7, 2017.

Full details have yet to be given to Ballymena Magistrates Court where Stewart Ballentine was the defence solicitor.

The defendant was given £500 bail and the case was adjourned to November 24.
