Ballymena shoplifter took goods worth £1,200 including meat from Marks & Spencer on July 12

A BALLYMENA woman has admitted a series of shoplifting raids involving goods worth around £1,200.

Ramona McFall (42), of Glenshesk Drive, pleaded guilty to 11 thefts of items including £200 worth of meat from Marks & Spencer on July 12 this year.

She had also stolen alcohol and meat from M&S on other dates in June and July.

The defendant had also stolen alcohol worth over £300 from Tesco in July and £100 worth of goods from Lynas food outlet in April this year.

The defendant attended Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena (main picture), via video link from prison.

It was heard she had a criminal record including several thefts when she had previously received a six months prison sentence.

Her current case has been adjourned to September for a pre-sentence report.
