Ballymena shoplifter took goods worth £800

A BALLYMENA woman has admitted a series of shoplifting raids involving goods worth around £800.

Ramona McFall (42), of Glenshesk Drive, pleaded guilty to eight thefts of items including £200 worth of meat from Marks & Spencer on July 12 this year.

She had stolen alcohol and meat from M&S on other dates in June and July.

The defendant is also charged with stealing alcohol worth over £300 from Tesco in July and goods from another food outlet in April this year.

Ballymena Magistrates Court heard the defendant had previously been remanded in custody on July 13 this year.

The cases have been adjourned to August 10.
