Bangor man is accused of stealing cider

A MAN with a Bangor address is accused of stealing cider worth £23 from Tesco.

David Hayes (28), of Viceroy's Wood, is charged in relation to October 23 this year.

He is also charged with attempting to steal items including headphones with a total value of £58 and he is further accused of causing criminal damage to property belonging to Tesco.

A defence lawyer told Newtownards Magistrates Court the defendant recently received an eight months sentence in relation to another matter at Belfast Crown Court.

The Ards case has been adjourned to December 15.
