Bangor man is alleged to have 'neglected to fill a census return form'

A BANGOR man faces an accusation that, according to the charge sheet, he 'neglected to fill a census return form'.

Aaron Vance, whose age was not given, of Hawthorne Park, is charged in relation to the period between August 10 and September 27 last year.

The full charge is that 'being a person by whom a return is to be made, without lawful excuse, neglected to fill up or cause to be filled up the form of return to the best of your knowledge and belief, or to sign or deliver it contrary to section 7(2)(a) of the Census Act (Northern Ireland) 1969'.

The case was mentioned at Newtownards Magistrates Court where District Judge Mark Hamill said that the summons was deemed not to have been served on the accused.
