Belfast man stole £1,000 worth of alcohol from Tesco

A BELFAST man has admitted stealing alcohol worth £1,053 from Tesco in Crumlin.

Ciaran Francis Daly (33), of Selby Walk, committed the offence on December 20 last year.

The previous day he took a bottle of whiskey worth £36 from the same shop.

A defence lawyer said the defendant had a "recent history of cocaine" use.

At Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena, it was adjourned to April 5 for a pre-sentence report.
