Chef accused of theft has case further adjourned

A CHEF accused of stealing £295 cash belonging to staff at Pier 36 in Donaghadee has had the matter further adjourned to April 6.

Lewis Edward Robertson (31), of Hyndford Street in Belfast, is accused of 'theft by employee' relating to December 9, 2021.

A defence lawyer told an earlier hearing at Newtownards Magistrates Court it was an allegation of a "breach of trust theft from his employer".

Another charge has been added to the charge sheet which accuses the defendant of stealing £180 from 'colleagues' at Harbour & Co on December 9.

The case has been adjourned to April 6.
