County Antrim man accused of 'fraud by abuse of position' has case sent to Crown Court

AN Antrim town man accused of 'fraud by abuse of position' has had the case sent to the Crown Court.

Jordan Henderson (25), with an address listed as Grange Manor, is charged in relation to dates between August 18, 2018, and January 7, 2020.

The charge is that he abused his position as an employee of Townparks Service Station 'by providing customers purchasing goods with a discount to which customers were not entitled, whether the discount be a complete discount or partial discount and doing so by either voiding the goods or not scanning the goods, thereby giving away the goods for free on occasion'.

The defendant appeared via video link from his solicitor's office at Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena, and the matter was sent to the Crown Court on January 5.

The defendant was given £500 bail.
