A MAN who was fitted with an electronic monitoring device cut it off because he 'had enough', Ballymena Magistrates Court has heard.
Aaron McIlhatton (27), with an address listed as Kilmakevit Drive in Cullybackey, had the tag fitted as part of bail relating to an alleged incident in which he faces a number of charges including possessing a knife with intent to commit an aggravated burglary.
The defendant admitted causing criminal damage to the tag on September 27 this year.
A prosecutor said the defendant told police he cut the tag off because he "had enough".
The defendant - who was not before the court nor was he was present on video link - was fined £100 and ordered to pay £100 compensation for the damaged tag.
