County Antrim man is accused of 'provocative act' by 'attempting to set fire to bonfire'

A MAN from the Randalstown area is accused of 'doing a provocative act' by allegedly attempting to set fire to a bonfire on July 10 this year.

Peter McCoy (30), of Connaught Road, is also accused of driving with excess alcohol in the vicinity of Ladyhill Road near Antrim town and failing to co-operate with a preliminary test on the same date.

At Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena on Tuesday, the case was adjourned to the end of August.
