A MAN told a judge in Ballymena: "I would love to state to everybody in the court that the NHS is wonderful".
George Logan (59), of Lylehill Road, Templepatrick, was speaking as he admitted using a hand-held mobile phone whilst he had been driving an automatic Jaguar car in Randalstown in June last year.
He told Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena, that on the day of the offence a nurse phoned him and he was on the way to a hospital.
He told the court: "I would love to state to everybody in the court, the NHS is wonderful."
The defendant was given six penalty points and fined £200.
