County Down man (67) accused of sexual assault is barred from any 'child facility'

A 67-YEAR-OLD man, originally with a Comber address, who is accused of sexual assault is barred from going to any child-related facility as part of his bail conditions.

Robert William Morrison is charged in relation to June 6 this year.

The charge is that he 'intentionally touched' a female, 'the circumstances being that the touching was sexual, that she did not consent to the touching and you did not reasonably believe' she 'so consented'.

He faces three charges - the second being that he allegedly 'intentionally incited' the female, referred to on the charge sheet as a 'child under 16' to 'engage in a sexual activity'.

The third charge is 'false imprisonment'.

Newtownards Magistrates' Court heard there is a bail address in Newcastle and and as part of the bail conditions the defendant is barred from the area of a school and he is not to enter any facility 'specifically catering for children'.

The case was adjourned to August 31.
