County Down man is accused of fraud by false representation regarding payments of more than £5,000 for dozens of mobile phones

A MAN with a Portavogie address is accused of fraud by false representation in relation to dozens of mobile phones.

Carl McGookin (30), of Seahaven Avenue, is alleged to have made a false representation that upon payment of £4,750 he would obtain 25 iPhones and 5 iPads for a person in November, 2019.

The second charge also relates to November, 2019, when the defendant is alleged to have made a false representation that upon payment of £600 by the same person he would obtain 3 iPhones.

At Downpatrick Magistrates Court on Monday the case was adjourned to August 9.
