County Down man is accused of using walking stick as offensive weapon

A MAN from Clough in County Down is accused of using a walking stick as an offensive weapon with intent to commit assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Robert Shilliday (64), of Main Street, is also accused of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and not keeping a 'firearm' in a 'suitable secure place'.

No further details were outlined at Downpatrick Magistrates Court on Monday morning and the case was adjourned to November 15.
