County Down man is charged with stealing two diggers worth '£24,000'

A MAN is accused of stealing two Hitachi diggers worth '£24,000'.

Philip Harris (34), of Newcastle Road, Ballynahinch, is charged in relation to March 10 this year.

The case was mentioned at Newtownards Magistrates Court where a prosecutor said the defendant's phone is being examined by investigators.

A defence lawyer said the defendant is working and wants to review his bail conditions.

The case was adjourned to December 15 for the bail variation to be considered.
