Court hears 'Covid' meant documents were not produced to police in time

A DEFENCE lawyer said a man had not produced insurance and a driving licence to police within seven days as he was "suffering from Covid at the time and was isolating".

Josh Ervine (22), an engineering firm worker, of Old Frosses Road, Cloughmills, committed offences in July this year in connection with using a Volkswagen Bora at Ballymoney Road in Ballymena.

At Ballymena Magistrates Court the defendant was fined £50.
