Court hears graffiti was 'sprayed' on property in Antrim town

A DEFENCE lawyer said graffiti was 'sprayed' on a door at a property in Antrim town in an incident which was "live-streamed".

Details emerged at Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena, where Adam McColgan (23), of Briarhill in Antrim, admitted entering the address near his home on a date between December 26 last year and January 2, 2022, with intent to cause unlawful damage.

He also pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis on New Year's Day this year.

He denies a charge of stealing a pair of Nike Airforce trainers from the property.

The case was adjourned to April 25 for that charge to be contested.
