Court hears of 'stabbing with pair of scissors'

A MAN is charged in relation to an allegation of a "stabbing with a pair of scissors and a sustained attack inside a house," a defence barrister told Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena.

Isaac Hillen (35), of Clanmorris Street in Belfast, is charged in relation to April 11 this year.

He is accused of assault occasioning actual bodily harm; assault; causing criminal damage to a window and the theft of two mobile phones.

At Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena, a defence barrister said the defendant would be pleading not guilty to all matters.

The case was adjourned to November 16 to fix a date for a contest.
