Court is told of Larne woman's 'grotesque assault'

A DEFENCE lawyer said a Larne woman committed a "quite grotesque assault" on a police officer by spitting in his face.

Seanine McCrea (24), formerly of Albert Street but now of Hampton Crescent in the town, assaulted the officer on October 9 last year.

At Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena, the case was adjourned to April 19 for a pre-sentence report.
