Court is told woman would 'relish' getting help for drink issues

A DEFENCE solicitor said a woman who was disorderly in Ballymena would "relish" getting help for a drink issue.

Tamie Jane Woodhead (47), of Kilbeg Close, Antrim town, admitted being disorderly at Carnduff Drive on August 17 this year.

A prosecutor said the defendant was refusing to leave a property.

Police found her on the living room floor slurring her words and there was a strong smell of alcohol.

The prosecutor said the defendant was screaming and when asked to calm down in a communal area she continued to shout and said: "I don't f-cking care".

She was "very remorseful" when she calmed down.

At Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena, the defendant was put on Probation for a year.
