Crumlin woman was caught with 10 grammes of cocaine 'down her trousers'

A WOMAN with a Crumlin address who hid 10 grammes of cocaine "down her trousers" claimed the drugs were left at her home during a party and when police arrived to search the address she had panicked.

Angeline Stilges (41), of Laurelvale Close, admitted possessing the drugs in September, 2019.

She had also 'impeded' a police officer.

A defence lawyer said the defendant said after the drugs had been left behind at a party she had "thrown them behind a microwave" and forgotten about them until the police arrived.

The lawyer said the defendant then made a "foolish" and "panicked" decision to hide them "on her person" so police wouldn't find the drugs.

At Antrim Magistrates' Court, sitting in Ballymena, the defendant was given a three months prison sentence, suspended for a year, and fined £75.
