Driving related offences detected whilst soil being moved in Randalstown

TWO men have admitted charges detected as soil was being moved in Randalstown.

Seamus Heffron (60), a bar owner, of Craigstown Road, Randalstown, was given six penalty points and fined £250 for permitting a man to drive a dumper truck without a licence on September 1 this year in Randalstown.

Peter Conway (65), retired, of Repulse Court in Antrim town, admitted a driving licence offence and was banned from driving for two months and fined £150.

Defence barrister Neil Moore told Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena (main picture), the offences came to light when soil was being transported.

He said Peter Conway did not hold a licence and that Seamus Heffron was unaware of that.
