Drugs offence detected after police saw man lying on footpath in Ballymena

POLICE saw a man lying on a footpath in the Doury Road area of Ballymena at around 10pm on July 16 this year and when he was searched two Pregabalin tablets were found.

Meanwhile, Cameron Rainey (22) - with addresses on charge sheets listed as Queen Street in Ballymena and Glenvara Drive in Coleraine - had stolen alcohol from the Co-op in Ballymena on December 6, 2019.

At Ballymena Magistrates Court - where the defence solicitor was Stewart Ballentine - sentencing was deferred until next January.
