Drunk 'topless' man refused to leave 'party' and then threatened to 'burn house out' in County Antrim

A DRUNK man who refused to leave a 'house party' where he had turned up uninvited in Antrim town, later told police he would go back and "burn her house out tomorrow".

Sean Jamie McDonnell (24), of Suffolk Square in Antrim, admitted making a threat to damage a property at Bedford Meadow in the town and also causing criminal damage after spitting on the window of a police car at Antrim Police Station on February 6 this year.

A defence barrister told Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena, he had viewed footage and on the date in question the defendant had been a "speech-slurring, topless, mess".

The lawyer said there had been "some sort of party going on" and the defendant had no shirt on at the time.

The defendant was given a three months jail term, suspended for 18 months.
