Guilty plea entered at Ballymena Court on man's birthday

IN the absence of a defendant at court on his 38th birthday, a solicitor entered guilty pleas to charges including driving whilst disqualified at Queen Street in Ballymena.

Solicitor David McIlrath was speaking at Ballymena Magistrates Court (main picture) on behalf of William Dunlop, formerly of Mullaghacall Road in Portstewart but now of Brown Drive in Maghera.

Guilty pleas were also entered to using a Volkswagen Scirocco without insurance and obstructing a police officer in the execution of his duty in relation to April 26 this year.

The case has been adjourned to October 14  for a pre-sentence report.
