A 69-year-old man accused of stealing thousands of pounds from an Ulster-Scots organisation has had the matter further adjourned to November 30.
Robert Alexander Millar, of Brantwood Gardens in Antrim town, is alleged to have taken money from The Ulster Scots Cultural Development Trust in 2018.
As well as two charges of theft allegedly involving amounts of £4,600 and £2,000, he is also accused of fraud in August 2018 whilst occupying a position in which he was expected to safeguard the financial interests of the group.
That charge is that he ‘dishonestly abused that position in that you withdrew monies from their account which you kept for yourself’.
The defendant faces a fourth charge – burglary of Massereene House at Bridge Street in Antrim with intent to steal on November 3, 2018.
The case was mentioned at Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena, where a prosecutor said she wanted a four week adjournment for "financial evidence" to be completed by way of a statement from police.
