Man (72) is charged with having dog lead as 'offensive weapon'

A MAN is accused of possessing a dog lead as an 'offensive weapon' in Bangor.

Alan William Neill (72), of Foresthill, Conlig, is also charged with assaulting a man and causing criminal damage to the man's car windscreen and mobile phone.

He is also charged with 'jaywalking' - the particulars of the charge are that 'being a pedestrian endangered your own safety or that of another person through your own negligence on a road'.

At Newtownards Magistrates' Court (main picture) the case was adjourned to June 30.
