Man accused of murder in Bangor has case sent to Crown Court

A MAN accused of murder in Bangor has had his case sent to the Crown Court.
Daniel Szcezyelak, (36), of Beatrice Road, is charged with murdering 53-year-old Nigel Orr-McAuley on 'a date unknown between' July 13/14 last year.
Mr Orr-McAuley died following a stabbing at a property at Beatrice Road.
The case was mentioned at Newtownards Magistrates Court (main picture).
The defendant appeared via a video link from prison where he has been on remand.
During a Preliminary Enquiry - the legal step to send a case to the higher court - a prosecutor submitted there was a case to answer.
A defence solicitor had no contrary submissions.
District Judge Mark Hamill granted a defence application for two counsel in relation to the Crown Court.
The case was sent to Laganside Crown Court in Belfast and adjourned to April 29.
