Man accused of 'paying for sexual services' has charge withdrawn for caution

A BANGOR man who had been accused of 'paying for sexual services' has had the charge withdrawn by prosecutors for a caution.

Peter Speers (23), of Godfrey Avenue, was charged in relation to April 9 this year.

The charge faced by the defendant was that he 'obtained sexual services from a person in exchange for payment, the payment having been made or promised by you, contrary to Article 64A of the Sexual Offences (Northern Ireland) Order 2008'.

The case was mentioned at Newtownards Magistrates' Court.
