Man and woman accused of County Down burglary blitz have cases further adjourned

TWO people charged with stealing copper and scrap metal in a burglary blitz on the Ards peninsula have had their cases further adjourned to January.
Adrian Aicken (32), of Bests Hill in Belfast, and 45-year-old Emma Morgan - of Ormeau Road in the city - had the cases mentioned at Newtownards Magistrates Court.
When the case was previously heard at Downpatrick Magistrates Court a third defendant was mentioned in connection with the matter.
The defendants are charged in relation to a series of thefts including July 23 and the period between August 9-12 this year.
Charges include the theft of copper and scrap metal, car batteries; a petrol quad, mini moto, a power washer, chainsaw and red diesel in areas including Kircubbin, Ballywalter and Donaghadee.
