A MAN who failed to hand over two tickets for a concert by singer Gerry Cinnamon despite receiving £110 after advertising them for sale has had sentencing delayed to December 21 to ensure he has paid back the money.
Cathan Quinn (25), with an address listed as Wesleyann Mews, Magherafelt, committed the offence in December, 2018.
At Ballymena Magistrates Court, District Judge Nigel Broderick said it was a "nasty" offence.
A prosecutor said the tickets were bought in December 2018 and the buyer had not received them in time for the concert in March 2019.
The defendant had told the buyer she would get a refund but he hadn't done so.
The female had provided police with emails and screenshots.
The defendant told police he bought six tickets and when he "entered into a relationship" his partner was a Gerry Cinnamon fan and he had decided to keep the tickets and go to the concert.
