Man charged with 'data protection'  offence

A MAN faces a charge that he 'knowingly or recklessly obtained personal data such as client lists, telesales briefing document, emails, lead forensics and order acknowledgement without the consent of the data controller'.

Glen Donnelly (47), with an address listed as in the Knockbreda area of Belfast, had the case listed as a contest at Newtownards Magistrates Court.

The one charge the defendant faces under the Data Protection Act relates to January 28, 2020.

Full details have yet to be outlined to the court where the case was adjourned to a later date.
