Man fined for using 'Ninebot Segway' without insurance or licence in County Antrim

A MAN using a 'Ninebot Segway' on a footpath in Antrim town was unaware he needed a driving licence and insurance, a defence lawyer told Ballymena Magistrates Court.
Deacon Reid (19), with an address listed as My Ladys Road in Belfast, was going along a footpath at Castle Way when spotted by police at noon on April 15 this year.
A prosecutor said the Segway was "not manufactured or intended for road use".
The defendant was given six penalty points and fined £150.
