Man had knife and plank as offensive weapons in County Antrim

A MAN has admitted having a knife and a plank of wood as offensive weapons at Station Park in Toome.

Patrick Gerard McBride (34), with an address listed as no fixed abode in Belfast, committed offences on May 20 this year.

He also admitted two assaults; making a threat to kill; making a threat to damage a dwelling; causing criminal damage to a vehicle and attempted criminal damage to another vehicle.

Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena (main picture), heard the defendant is a sentenced prisoner on other matters.

McBride appeared at court via video link from Maghaberry Prison and the current case was adjourned to December 21 for a pre-sentence report.
