Man is accused of causing 'unnecessary suffering' to a cat

A MAN is accused of causing unnecessary suffering to a cat.

Kormelijus Bracas (23), of Church View in Randalstown, is charged in relation to the end of August and the start of September this year.

He is also charged with injuring a cat and entering an address at Tresna Park in Randalstown and threatening 'violence' against a female in breach of a Restraining Order.

He is also accused of stealing a bank card and £7 cash belonging to the female.

Full details were not outlined to Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena.

A defence solicitor said the defendant had previously been granted High Court bail but he did not believe an address to be approved by police had been perfected.

The case at Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena, was adjourned to November 2.
