Man is accused of 'giving misleading price indication'

A MAN with an Antrim address is accused of 'giving a misleading price indication' by allegedly saying work in the town in June this year would cost £700 but it was then, it is claimed, changed to £2,800 upon completion.

Patrick Doherty (67), of Dublin Road, is also alleged to have engaged in an 'unfair' commercial practice whilst trading as an 'outdoor cleaner'.

He faces a third charge of failing to give notice of a right to cancel a contract.

At  Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena, the case was adjourned to November 9.
