Man is alleged to have stolen £3,000, 3,000 Euros and 320 books of stamps during robbery at Ballee Post Office in Ballymena

A MAN accused of robbing Ballee Post Office in Ballymena of £2,940; 3,000 Euros and 320 books of stamps has had the matter sent to Antrim Crown Court.

Martin Kinney (45), with an address listed as Larne Road in Ballymena, is charged in relation to September 29 last year.

In relation to the same date he is also accused of assault and possessing a knife as an offensive weapon.

The defendant has been further remanded in custody and the case has been adjourned to Antrim Crown Court on March 24.
