Man is charged with stealing charity boxes

A MAN is accused of stealing two charity boxes in Bangor.

Daniel Brown (31), with an address listed on a court charge sheet as Glenloch Gardens in Belfast, is charged in relation to December 10 last year.

It is alleged he struck at a chemist's and a cafe.

The charge sheet says the amount in one of the boxes was around £200 and the amount in the other box was 'unknown'.

No details were contained on the charge sheet regarding which charities the boxes were for.

No further details were given to Newtownards Magistrates' Court where the defendant was not present, nor did he have legal representation at the court.

The case was adjourned to July 14.
