Man 'threatened to kill neighbour's dog with a knife' in Ahoghill

A MAN with an Ahoghill address is accused of going out onto a street and threatening to kill a neighbour's dog with a knife, a defence barrister told Ballymena Magistrates Court.

Lawyer Michael Smyth was speaking about Robin John Scott (56), of Main Street, who is charged with having a knife as an offensive weapon and making a threat to injure a dog on July 27 this year.

The defendant has pleaded not guilty to both charges and the case was adjourned to November 4 to fix a date for a contest.
