Man who crashed BMW into field near Cullybackey had 'high level' of drugs in his blood

A MAN who crashed a BMW into a field at Craigs Road, Cullybackey, had a "high level" of drugs  in his blood.

Isaac Darling (27), with addresses on different charge sheets as Mull Road, Antrim town, and Artlone Road, Randalstown, crashed on March 18 this year.

At Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena (main picture), he admitted driving whilst unfit.

He also pleaded guilty to other offences including driving without insurance, failing to produce insurance, no MOT and no licence in relation to different dates.

A defence solicitor said the defendant had been "homeless now for a number of years" but said he stays with his mother some nights and with friends.

The defendant was given a three months prison term, suspended for a year; banned from driving for a year and fined £450.
