Man who previously robbed a store has now been caught shoplifting at same shop

A MAN who shoplifted items worth £4.25 from the Centra store which he had previously robbed at The Junction retail park in Antrim has been fined £100 for the new offence.

Eamonn Murphy (25), formerly with an address at Corbally Avenue, Antrim, but now said to be living in hostels in the Belfast area, admitted theft in relation to April 28 this year.

In February this year the defendant had been sentenced for robbing £308 cash from the same store in 2017 and having a knife as an offensive weapon.

The latest case was mentioned at Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena.
