Man with Bangor address receives suspended jail term

A MAN with a Bangor address has been given a two months prison term, suspended for three years, for causing criminal damage to the windscreen of a vehicle.

Thomas David McCabe (47), of Rathgill Park, committed the offence on August 15 last year.

A prosecution lawyer offered no evidence in relation to a second allegation the defendant had a spade with intent to cause damage and that charge was withdrawn.

Newtownards Magistrates Court heard the defendant already had a suspended sentence from the Crown Court for another matter.
