Man with Belfast address is alleged to have stolen a pick axe

A MAN accused of stealing a pick axe has had the matter at Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena, adjourned to May 10 for a Preliminary Enquiry - the legal step to potentially send it to the Crown Court.

Eamonn Murphy (25), with an address given as Divis Street in Belfast, is charged in relation to September 14 last year.

He is also accused of burglary of a dwelling at The Fairways in Antrim town on the same date when electronic equipment, power tools and drill bits, jewellery and food items were allegedly taken.
