Man with Randalstown address who had driven dangerously is banned from roads

A MAN with a Randalstown address has admitted a number of offences including driving dangerously at New Street in the town on February 4 this year has been given an interim driving ban.

Spencer Downey (27), of New Street, also failed to stop for police at New Street.

Also in relation to February 4 he pleaded guilty to insurance and MOT offences and having a defective tyre.

He also admitted offences from January 24 this year including driving dangerously at Moneynick Road and Ballydunmaul Road near Randalstown; failing to stop for police at Moneynick Road; and insurance, MOT and licence offences.

A prosecutor confirmed to District Judge Nigel Broderick there had been a "police chase".

At Ballymena Magistrates' Court the case was adjourned to June 16 for a pre-sentence report.
