Men charged with having 'metal poles with spikes' in Newtownards have cases further adjourned

A NUMBER of men accused of possessing an offensive weapon - described on charge sheets as 'metal poles with spikes' - at Weavers Grange in Newtownards have had their cases further adjourned.
The charges relate to February 12 this year.
The accused are: Jonathan Aaron Allen (39), of Brookeborough Square in Lisburn; Andrew Ross Curle (29), of Ambleside Street in Belfast; and Szymon Milczarek (18), of Grovefield Place in Belfast.
They are each also charged with possession of 'ammunition in suspicious circumstances'.
Allen and Milczarek also allegedly had a baton as an offensive weapon.
Curle is charged with driving whilst disqualified and using a vehicle without insurance and Allen is accused of 'permitting no insurance'.
The cases were mentioned at Newtownards Magistrates Court.
